Life beyond the caviary...

The other major part of my life is my horses.  My family got into horses when I was very young, and I have been devoted, obsessed, riding and competing ever since.  Unfortunately because of college I am unable to keep my horses with me here in Las Vegas so they reside at my mom's stables, which isn't too far away.  Our barn is located in northern AZ and is called HDR Quarter Horses & Arabians.  At one time, all the members of my family rode horses, but now it is mainly my mother and I.  I show English, Western, & Hunter Jumper with Quarter Horses.  I compete in every event (for all-arounds and high points) and specialize in showmanship, western pleasure, and jumping.  I compete in AQHA and other circuits in CA, AZ, NV, and UT.  I have competed and won at many state and national events.  I am now training and competing part-time on "Celebrity Hit" (an AQHA gelding), in Jumping, English and Western (pictured below).  My mother has done showing in the past, but now does Endurance (hence why we have Arabians).  She consistently places in the top 10 and is often considered for best condition awards.  She will be competing in the World Endurance Competition (Tevis) in 2009.
